The INCI name for this natural ingredient is Butyrospermum parkii, but it's easier on the tongue to pronounce as we know it here as 'shea butter'. Shea butter is a slightly yellowish or ivory-colored natural fat extracted from the nut of the African shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa & nilotica), only found in certain areas of the African continent.
